In this guide, we will share with you a complete overview and comparison of the 2023 Ram 1500 vs. the Chevy Silverado. Both are great trucks, but you may find that one or the other stands out for your needs.

Take a look at this guide, then come visit us at Vatland CDJR to find the truck that fits you best!

2023 Ram 1500

The Ram 1500 is smooth and sleek in every sense of the word. You’ve got a nice body style, classic interior, and plenty of space to rule the road. Every detail matters and you see that in the classic design of this pickup. Here are the things we will take a closer look at and compare to the Silverado!

Interior

Depending on which model you choose, the interior might vary slightly. But one thing that remains the same across the board is the space the Ram 1500 offers. The windows provide just the right amount of natural lighting, and the seats are spacious and comfortable. Even in the backseat, you have plenty of legroom, plus the ability to recline in some cases. The Ram 1500 even has a noise cancellation system in place to help reduce road and exterior noise on your drive.

Power & Fuel Economy

We live in a world where gas is pricey and everyone is looking for economical choices. This includes your pickup truck. The Ram 1500 has towing capabilities that reach up to 12,750 pounds, making it a workhorse with plenty of power. You can choose from the Hemi V8 or other engine models. They even have a V6 with eTorque if you want a little less power and better fuel economy.

Depending on which model you choose, you may get up to 25 MPG on the highway and up to 20 MPG in the city. Adventure with 4-wheel drive and have a great time!

Tech & Safety

Now let’s look at technology and safety. These are important for any new ride and a 2023 model should have the best, right? The Ram 1500 has great visuals with a 360-degree surround camera. The digital rear view can also come in handy.

The truck comes packed with blind spot monitoring, forward collision alerts, pedestrian braking, parallel parking assistance, and adaptive cruise control. Sound is great inside the cab, and the touchscreen is a 12-inch model with tons of features.

When you pit the Chevy Silverado against the Ram 1500, you can immediately tell that both trucks are well-built. Their size and capabilities are similar, giving you all the strength and space you need to get things done. Let’s check out how the Silverado compares in all the same categories!

Interior

Much like the Ram 1500, the interior of the Chevy Silverado is spacious and comfortable. The rear seats have plenty of room, and some seats recline. Some Silverado models have a sunroof, which is certainly a nice luxury to bring in extra sunlight if you want to.

Space, sound, and comfort levels are well-thought-out here. Your interior materials are luxurious, designed to last and make you feel right at home.

Power & Fuel Economy

You will find the power and capability to be pretty similar from the Ram 1500 to the Silverado. The maximum towing capacity can reach up to 13,300 pounds, which is exceptional towing power. That makes the truck a great fit for adventure, work, or whatever else your needs may be.

You can choose from different models, most of which are designed to have better fuel economy. There’s a 2.7L turbo, or take advantage of the Duramax diesel. They also have two different Eco models, both of which are V8, but thanks to the EcoTec they get decent fuel capabilities.

That being said, the Ram does get slightly better fuel economy in comparison. With the Silverado, you’re looking at up to 22 MPG on the highway and 19 MPG in the city. Enjoy 4-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive, depending on the model that you end up with.

Tech & Safety

Finally, let’s compare safety features and vehicle technology. Both vehicles have several driver assistance features, and the Silverado is equipped with HD surround views that are great for reducing blind spots while you drive. It also has a rear camera mirror, which is unique to this brand.

Driver assistance tools provide both tech and safety. You can take advantage of adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, forward collision braking, and that surround camera we mentioned above. The tailgate is pretty awesome, too.

If you upgrade models, you can enjoy a Bose speaker system. Otherwise, you just get the traditional system, which is fine but not as superior as the Ram. Finally, your touchscreen is slightly larger at 13.4 inches.

Choose Your Fit for a New Ride!

Both the Ram 1500 and Chevy Silverado have a lot of great aspects between them. They are unique and have some things that are comparable, while one model might stand out in other ways. We notice many superior features for the Ram 1500, but you can choose what stands out to you!
